DishCrafterX requests certain permissions to provide its core functionality. Here's exactly what we access and why:
Purpose: Take photos of your meals to add to recipes
Storage: Photos are stored locally on your device only
Control: You can deny this permission and still use the app
Purpose: Select existing photos from your library to add to recipes
Storage: We only access photos you specifically choose
Control: You can limit access to specific photos or deny entirely
Purpose: Sync your meals across your Apple devices
Storage: Data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
Control: Managed through your iCloud settings
Purpose: Export shopping lists to the Bring! app
Storage: Only the shopping list items you choose to export
Control: Only happens when you explicitly choose to export
All your recipes, meal plans, and photos are stored locally on your device using Core Data, Apple's secure database framework.
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account, allowing you to access it across your Apple devices.
You can export your meals as files (.dcx format) to share with others or backup your data. This only happens when you explicitly choose to export.
